About Montreal Mystery / Montréal mystère
Montreal Mystery, Montréal mystère in French, is the first-ever mystery festival set in the city of Montreal. Nestled in a city renowned for its enchanting beauty and unique fusion of English and French cultures, this festival celebrates a rich cultural history that spans the French and English literary scenes.
The festival will hold events of various sizes at venues throughout the city. Authors and guests come together to engage in the art of storytelling, while also embracing the opportunity to explore scenic Montreal.
For this inaugural event, we will host conversations in both English and French, holding panels with your favorite authors as well as introducing new ones that have not yet been translated across languages.

Origin Story
The team behind Montreal Mystery met at the Iceland Noir festival. The mix of local Icelandic and international authors and guests inspired us to host a festival celebrating the writing of French and English authors in the cultural capital of Montreal.
